Gold & Silver Rock Layer Earrings
Gold & Silver Rock Layer Earrings
These studs play with that act of uncovering — shifting, moving and looking a little closer to find the beauty hidden amongst the rocks.
Mismatched, one of a kind and perfectly imperfect, each pair celebrates rock in its raw, irregular form. A little reminder that sometimes we have to move something, turn something over, or take a different path to discover what was there all along.

The Story
Made by pressing molten metal onto rocks I found, the texture of the rock imprinted onto the metal, the shapes are partly organic and partly hand sawn and filed, layered and soldered together to create a stack of rocks.
Their larger scale was intentional: a little invitation to take up space and come out of hiding. Despite their size, they are surprisingly lightweight and comfortable enough to wear every day. Covering the ear lobe in a subtle way, their thin form allows them to look part of the skin rather than protruding out.
A one-of-a-kind piece to accompany you wherever you are in your story — carrying a little strength, freedom and the raw beauty of the landscape with you.
